The Secret of Error 5200 on Canon Printer

Canon printers provide reliable quality printing for your home and office or school agar used. However, when you receive an error code 5200 on your Canon printer, it may be an exaggerated situation. Here is a simple guide to help solve the problem so that you can get back to work.

The Secret of Error 5200 on Canon Printer

What is Error 5200

The error 5200 code has to do with ink levels and usage within the Canon printer. The printer is programmed to combine all remaining ink colors to make it black. Soon it means that all ink cartridges installed in the printer are empty or empty. So the operator sees the ink level guide that the black color is gone and the colors are almost gone, and they proceed by replacing only the black ink with the intention of using the rest of the color ink in the cartridge.

However, once black ink is installed, error codes 5200 will sometimes appear due to printer and ink level reader malfunctions. There are some who feel that it may be a conspiracy of rackets of ink to force you to replace all cartridges at once.

Regardless of any ulterior motives included in this error code, there are some simple solutions that you can try to get the error to go away.

How to Reset Canon Printer Error

The first step in trying to resolve the error code 5200 is to shut down the printer and wait several seconds before turning it back on. This may have the effect of resetting the ink level readers so that they can read correctly.

How to Reset Canon Printer Error

If your printer does not work, the next step is to remove the power cord and completely unplug the printer. This may serve the same reset function as turning the printer on and off, but it may do the trick if the first step fails.

If the printer is plugged directly into the outlet and none of the above is working, try the following fixes: Turn off the printer, press the stop button and hold it for 2 seconds, press the on button, Hold it down and release the stop button, press the stop button five times then release with the on button. The LCD screen will be blank and the printer will be reset. The computer may say that new hardware has been detected - you can ignore it. Turn off the printer, then turn it back on once more.

If you have tried all of the above and still there is no improvement in the state of error 5200, then you will have to proceed to replace all of the ink cartridges. Even if they are mostly filled, you just need to go ahead and apply all new ink. This can cause a reset in the ink level gauge, which may solve the problem.
